Join a volunteer response team supporting real-world emergency operations within the Norman community.

NERVT is a volunteer response team that operates in real-world incidents, disasters, and large-scale events in support of local agencies.

Volunteer positions require a commitment to training, operational readiness, and the ability to function within the Incident Command System (ICS) under direction of responding authorities.

This is not a casual volunteer opportunity. Applicants should be prepared to meet expectations for professionalism, reliability, and operational discipline.

  4. I understand that participation in training, emergency response, and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or death.
  5. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree that I am solely responsible for my own safety and well-being.
  6. I hereby release, waive, and discharge Oklahoma Aerial Search & Rescue, Norman Emergency Management Volunteers, and their officers, members, affiliates, and partners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, accident, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of my participation.
  7. I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the above organizations and individuals from any claims resulting from my actions, participation, or presence during training or deployment activities.
  8. I agree to follow all safety protocols, chain of command, and operational procedures at all times.
  9. I grant permission for my photo or video to be used in organizational media unless I opt out in writing.
  10. I affirm that I am 18 years of age or older.
